It is a simple method and beautiful result
Purl the 1st stitch (the stitch of the previous row was knit one).
Slip the stitch from right to left needle.
Pass the yarn backwards through the right side of the last knitted stitch. Slip again the stitch on the right needle and knit the next stitch (the stitch of the previous row was purl one).
Slip the first stitch on the 2nd stitch.
Slip the stitch from right to left needle. Pass the yarn frontwards through the right side of the last knitted stitch.
Slip again the stitch on the right needle and purl the next stitch (the stitch of the previous row was knit one). Slip the first stitch on the 2nd stitch. Repeat from 2 to 6.
