On the occasion of the release of our naturally hand-dyed yarn “PARIS NATURE” , we invite you to discover these yarns and its kit during workshops that will be held within our exhibitions in Kyoto and Tokyo
“PARIS NATURE” is a naturally hand-dyed yarn, in Paris, with natural components (plants, minerals), elaborated and produced by Porcs-épics Tricoteur.
The trend that is currently rising in Paris is organic
More than a commitment to a better quality product, and rich in sensations, this Parisian “Bio” spirit is urban and modern, sophisticated and very fashionable.
We will organize workshops using “PARIS NATURE” wool.
This thread and its booklet kit will be sold at the Tokyo workshop and at the Kyoto exhibition. Don’t hesitate to come and visit us even if you don’t attend the workshops, practical information is available at the bottom of this page.
The workshops will allow you to easily and quickly knit comfortable socks that can be worn even in the city using this 100% baby merino wool, machine washable, and made in France. These wools are hand-dyed by «WHOLE » in Paris, a very nice brand and a vegetable dyeing workshop.
When creating these socks for everyday use, we paid special attention to :
Use 100% natural and soft materials that keep you warm all winter long!
Easy care: this wool is superwashable (machine washable)
Neither too tight nor too loose, these socks fit snugly over your ankles and can therefore be worn with ordinary shoes.
To make such socks, we thought of a pattern with some specifics:
・ simple and easy to remember “toe”, “heel” and “ankle” parts. So if you want to vary the patterns for other pairs of socks, these essential bases can be reused as is.
pieces knit in one go, seamless and without stitches in the middle, starting in Turkish cast-on, from the tip of the toes up
Easily adjustable.
offer an easy and fitting elastic bind-off.
So many little things that make these socks perfect!
At the end of these 3 hours of workshops, you might not have finished your first sock, but we will practice together to practice fitting the toe, and going up to the heel. Once you have acquired these basics, you can easily finish your work!
Socks knitting is ideal for killing time on long vehicle trips, for example.
